beeswax wraps

Gidday bloggers,

Today I am going to share with you something we made its called beeswax wraps here is how you make it.
We made this to reduce the amount of plastic.
We have been learning how to reduce the amount of single use plastic.

Beeswax wraps,

  • You will need:

  • 100% cotton (fabric)

  • Pinking shears

  • Beeswax pellets

  • Baking paper

  • Iron

  • Old towel

  • Cardboard (optional)

Method:

1.Grab a fabric that’s 100% cotton.

2.Cut using the pinking shears on all sides of the cloth (30 by 30 cm).

3.Sprinkle a handful of beeswax pellets on the whole cloth.

4.Grab baking paper then put it on the cloth (2 layers of it one at the top one at the bottom and also don’t forget to put a towel on the table or what your working on so beeswax doesn't melt and spread all over ).

5.Slide the iron on top of the cloth until the beeswax is melted.

6.Peel the baking paper off the cloth.

7.Grab the cloth carefully and start sliding it until the cloth is off.

8.Wave your cloth around for a little while so then you wont have melted beeswax everywhere Then… enjoy your beeswax wraps!

Here are some photos of me (and some other people) making them.
