SLJ poetry slam!

Today I am going to share with you my summer learning journey poetry slam this was kinda hard because I couldn't think of any ideas so I hope you enjoy reading this. 

Please help me if you know any of this because I am having quite a hard time doing this.

When we where learning about the poetry slam we had to listen to some authors who made inspiring poems. My favourite poem was the poem that the young author 12 year old Solli Raphael who once won a reward.

Lock down

You may of noticed the big gap of my posting dates the reason why is because of lock down  I would be posting a lot but i'm sorry i haven't been posting to make up for it I will tell you guys what I did in the weekends during lock down (and a joke)

What I did during the weekends in lock was: celebrate my sisters birthday (it was one day before the weekends so it should count!) another thing I did was play handball with my family my most favourite thing i did was game with my friends. Gaming Is a big yes yes for my Borden but for my brain a big no no because did you know that if you game to much you could be very very dumb (but no ones dumb anyways) anyways that's all from me time for joke now.

What did the hat say to the other hat?: You wait here ill go on a head!

Where were the kids sad when they got there test results: because they all got SADIST-FACTORY for all there question.

Tokyo Olympics trip

Today me and my class (and the whole senior school) went to meant an Olympian  Debbie Tanner (an Olympian is a person who has competed in a Olympic event). I am going to write about something I enjoyed and something I learnt enjoy! oh yes I will also be showing a photo of me to!

Something's I learnt: There are over 1,300 Olympians in NZ I found this fact from one of my friends in room 6. Something I learnt was the 3 Olympian rules friendship, respect and Excellence. I learnt that some athletes can feel nervous before racing. Something I learnt was that Debbie had earned a ton of medals. Something I learnt was Athletes have to be on a balanced Diet like Debbie she has weetbix with fruits In her bowl. Something I learnt was. Something I learnt was Debbie completed the triathlon. Debbie did come last but she learnt from her mistake.   

Something I enjoyed: the playing area because I loved the boxing glove's because I love boxing with my siblings like my brothers or my sisters. Something  else I enjoyed was watching the Olympics on the tv because I loved watching NZ race. Something else I enjoyed was The skills test where we play some games Because I love games. something  I enjoyed was the racing because Im good at running. Something I enjoyed was cheering for NZ Because there was a crowd also cheering on for them. Something I enjoyed was the bus trip because I loved looking out of the window.

Polynesian way finding

Today I am going to show you a piece of writing that I did for our ancestors about the Polynesians way finding.Here is my writing.

Something I found challenging: Writing the story

Something I enjoyed: The painting

Polynesian navigators are very impressive because they know how to navigate using stars and other things and they are also impressive because they are good at sailing the wakas. Did you know that the Polynesians are able to use the wind, sea creatures and debris (branches, leaves and others)? Did you know that the pacific oceans is as large as 16 football fields wait did I say 16 no i meant 16 BILLION Rugby fields?

Way finding navigation is where Polynesians use the ocean, floating debris and more. did you know a way to find stars is to put your hand up in the sky and use your hand to measure the stars like how far the are away from each other. If you want to find the Matariki stars you can use this technique too.... oh wait! I forgot to tell you what is Matariki. Matariki is a cluster of stars only seen at night to find these stars you got to look for a cluster of SEVEN stars yes I said seven.

 

Exquisite sentence

Today we wrote a sentence about space that included adjectives, nouns, verbs and a subject.

My Thunder storm writing.

Hello bloggers,

Today I am going to share with you my thunder storming writing here is my writing hope you like it!

The storm caught up to me as I was running for my life. The lighting was so loud that my ears thought they were in heaven and I was scared for my life. CRASH the lightning went. As I stepped in the puddle I could barely hear the little splashes. POW The thunder goes it's       getting furious And then as soon as i get home the thunder gives a very bad goodbye CRASH BOOM POW.
